In 2024, Maiva Pharma raised USD 120 million from Morgan Stanley Private Equity and India Life Sciences Fund to support the development and expansion of new facility Maiva Life Sciences.
Maiva Life Sciences (MLS), a fully owned subsidiary of Maiva Pharma Private Limited, is a state-of-the-art sterile injectable manufacturing facility under development in Shoolagiri, Hosur. Conceived as a greenfield project and spread across 22 acres, the site is planned initially to house a total of six manufacturing lines in Phase 1 designed to support advanced sterile injectable production capabilities.
As part of the Phase 1 project, currently the installation of three advanced manufacturing lines which comprises of a vial line equipped with two 50 sq. meter lyophilizers for lyophilized powder products, a dedicated vial line with suspension filling capability, and a combined pre-filled syringe (PFS) and cartridge line. This infrastructure positions MLS to offer new capabilities in the sterile manufacturing space, adhering to the highest standards of isolator-based aseptic processing.
